What a week actually includes
You live in the teacher’s home, as the only student: your own room, meals with the family, and one-to-one lessons. Before you travel you choose 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 hours in the week; with 10 hours the lessons go with general activities or cultural visits, which are extra. You come on Sunday and go home on Saturday; lessons sit in a normal week, Monday to Friday, and you can start any week of the year. There is also a lessons-only option: the same private lessons at the teacher’s home, without the room or the meals.
The teacher is qualified, and the house has already been visited before I send you the profile. I send you the family’s profile before you confirm; if it does not fit, I look for another. A transfer from the airport, station or port listed for that destination is extra: I add it to the proposal if you want it.
Adults, seniors, and teenagers travelling on their own
You can keep it as a working week in English, or take it more slowly: you set the hours, and you spend the evening in the house, not in a hotel. The lesson starts from where you actually are.
If your child is the one travelling, they live with their teacher and are looked after day to day by the host family. Under 18, lessons are booked with activities or visits, so they are not left on their own in the afternoon. Under 16, the transfer is in the proposal unless you travel with them. The host family or the driver meets them, and I send you the name before departure. If they are under 13, an adult in the house stays with them, so they are not left on their own.
